August busy days begin

We were invited to the Children's Discovery museum and the kids still love it. I crawled through a little tunnel so that I wouldn't lose a kid. Those tunnels still give me a panic attack, especially with how busy the place was today. No one got lost today and only one fit when I didn't walk into the souvenir shop. Phew.

( My mom was excited about buying soda, such a good sport)

The hurricane machine was a hit. Hair flying and squinty kids, hilarious.

First soccer practice of the season. We pulled out our wallets and put her in an official team this year instead of church ball. She was in love after tonight. Now I am a soccer mom three days a week.

School haircuts! JcPenny's isn't doing their free deal this year but they were $10 a kid so I obliged. My kids like the big salon feel and two out of the three closed their eyes and took in the whole experience. They are my kids after all. Then we picked up their new glasses! They were $25 a piece! Couldn't beat that, so we got two pairs for the fiesty one who likes to lose them. We are ready for school and the hustle bustle of life. Right?

Day of tourism

We ran away from packing up my mother's house to our favorite local escape, the Bellagio. Sorry for all of the weird lighting. I have been trying to shoot manual, but sometimes it is just tricky.

(my fav shot with my reflection)

Rainbows. Ever since a rainbow showed up on the wall of my townhouse as we were saying goodbye to the last place my sister would have been in my home, I take them as a reminder that she is never too far away.  And this was just another sweet moment, that I have a friend on the other side.

school fashion show 2013

Our models this year were very much full of personality. . . Some excited and full of poses and others stubborn and crying. We decided to place our runway at Gma and Gpa's this year for more spectators. I can not believe how grown up my children are. This is where the mother's knowingly sob.

Let the back to school/work countdown begin. More sobbing.
