Wildcat buddy

All growed up and popular. It was so unreal to me to watch her go to my high school homecoming game to cheer on her "cat buddy". I am old and unpopular. haha

family life. . .

WE have been BUSY! Just a few highlights. . . . went to the best wedding ever! Congrats Grondel's!

(This little man can shake his caboose. Cotton candy just made it funnier:)

SOCCER
Ever since school started, she is attached to her lunch box. She packs it herself, and she know that she doesn't have to share it. I think that is the part she likes the best. Here she is in her chair, away from the family, enjoying her snack.

(My husband is very much one of those dads) I would much rather fight over this red head baby. She gives me my baby fix.

 FAMILY PICNIC

Thursday, October 11, 2012

There are so many things I should be posting. Soccer games, dance class, football games, picnics at the park. But I do not have enough minutes in the day. And my mind is clouded with thoughts. It is October. So in my free time (haha) I am reading this. It makes me think of other things (thanks for recommending it my friend)

As I mourn the loss of someone's loved one, I can't help but reflect on my loss. I remember the viewing. It felt like an out of body experience. Why were these people acting as if my sister was non existent in the room. I did not want to catch up with them or talk about the weather. I just wanted to feel my sister's presence in the room, in the conversation. Because the next morning would be the last time I would be next to her until we meet again. Time does not stop for me, I must keep living. So many questions in my mind. But those questions must wait. For now I must focus on the right questions. What am I to learn from this experience to better myself and help others? How can I preserve and continue her legacy? My heart is full today of grief and love. May we all press forward with time, with memories in our hearts and one forever goal in our stride.

The impact trickles down, and is never ending. But the love is always strong and binding.

Doodles of a five yr old

I like to check my daughter's paperwork as any parent would. But my favorite part is when I flip it out to find her daily doodle. I asked her who Hayden was. Maybe a girl who plays with her on the playground? No, it is a boy who went to Disneyland. Her dad is on watch out mode. All it takes is Disneyland to spark her interest haha.
