Uncle Bob

What started the collection, a deck of cards. Ann knew the story behind most of the treasures. She even pointed out her pair of socks he stole from her drawer because they had a Coca Cola label.

It is a see with your eyes only room with instructions given before the door even opens. Even a four year old boy knows better than to stick a finger on his train.

I covet these cash registers. COVET. So take a minute to drool with me. I remember when I was little and Uncle Bob would let me push the buttons down so that the drawer would open.

I am so grateful we were able to spend time with Ann before Bob's memorial the next day. Uncle Bob was a stubborn guy with his cowboy boots, hat and buckle. He wouldn't let you cheat at card games, and would bring me wafer cookies down from Utah. I will always remember his laugh and his smile. I used to send him pictures I would draw of lamb chop as an adult just to be funny. I think he saw my humor haha.

Cove Fort

We stopped in and took the tour of Cove Fort. Such a story of sacrifice and trusting the Lord in doing the work we are called to do.

They had these benches made from the Oak tree that was cut down 3 months ago.

They would use that tool to tighten the rope that held their corn sac mattress up. Hence the saying "Sleep tight".

Cutest photo bomber. PS. Is it a problem that I wanted all the furniture for my house? My husband says yes.
