Gingerbread houses

We got invited to my friends the Hairs annual gingerbread House party. It was awesome!

Get the party started

My lunch crew threw me a party. They said I am their princess. 

My daughter reenacted my party when I got home. We even relite the candles for effectiveness.she cracks me up.

Then the tradition of cake and ice cream at grandma's

And the life of Buford the fish pillow begins. My husband says he put a lot of thought into this gift for me. So I am trying to bond with him.

Lights!

Aunt Tonya wrote to Santa again this year telling him how good they have been. This year they want doll stuff, trucks and a remote control helicopter.

It is always a family favorite to look at the Christmas light displays. It has been extra fun this year with the little man's excitement over it all. He thinks everyday in December is Christmas. The girls like to argue with him about that. But I like his Christmas spirit!

I love December because we try to be the best we can be. We get haircuts to look sharp for Christmas Day.

We go to the doctor because no one wants to be sick for the holidays. This child spent four out of the last five days of school home sick only to go to urgent care to be diagnosed with coxsackie. My kids never just get the ordinary flu.

We help with the house hoping for a present on return haha.

We lend a hand when it is needed.but who wouldn't want to spend some extra time with this cute kid. His mom had surgery and me and my helper went over to play.

Even if it meant watching a you tube video on how to change a cloth diaper.

We take the time to notice the love we have

For our friendships

And those who are always there for us. If only we didn't lose the December moments in our everyday hustle and bustle. We must remember to have more of these moments.

Once your tree is in it's new home

Sometimes I kind of lose it when the kids just start grabbing things out of the box and throw it on the tree. Like crazy control mom. It is scary. So we have a new system. Mom puts on the lights and garland. And then I divide the ornaments between each kid, so there is no arguing over who gets to hang each special one. And then I get to just sit and watch the magic of Christmas unfold with each twinkle as my children's excitement fills the room. It is magic.
