We read this book to the kids the night before.
Then we get to grandma's house in time to rat some dough...I mean help make some rolls.
Then we ate.
This will count as my family picture, because that didn't happen this year. Just as cute, right?
Then we took our Black Friday ads and ran. Stores opened way too early this year, but I am sure you have heard all the complaints on social media. We started at Toys r Us
Then walmart, which traumatized us and made us feel lucky to have made it out alive. We didn't even get our big items, I jumped two candy bins and ran back out of there. Then we wandered around the parking lot looking for our lost car. It happens okay.
Target was next. Much better control! We memorize our ads circled items, split the list and break out of our huddle as they let the line in.
The lines is what kills. So we played a game of "find the ditched item".
Old navy. .. What to say about Old Navy. Turn your heater off, set your lights up so they won't turn off at this strange hour you are open, and hand out snacks like Target. Not too much to ask for.
This line took ...wait for it...THREE HOURS! People love a good half off sale I guess. Some women had over eight large bags walking out of there! I get it though. I only shop at this store on Black Friday for their prices.
I did make a friend as we looped through the line. We even exchanged phone numbers.
Then we headed home tired and successful. Until I got pulled over for doing a slow go at a stop sign by my house at TWO in the AM! Really! There was no one else at the four way stop! Okay rant over. They prob thought I was some drunk lady, but nope, just a delirious Black Friday shopper trying to get home before her husband goes to work. Just add it to my expense list for the night.
