Beauty and the Beast 3D was awesome! She put her dress on as soon as Belle's dance scene came on. Gma Orme couldn't believe how everything was coming out at her!

Dinner at Applebees with Grandma Jones. Any mother knows that taking your children to dinner is a nightmare, especially 2 hours after their regular dinner time and showing up with one of them passed out over your shoulder. My food was delicious, I think. . . .

But they sang to her and she was just fine and dandy. Birthday over. Phew.

My baby turned 5 on Friday the 13th.

She chose McDonald's for dinner at the restaurant of her choice. I was not surprised. Ever since she learned her name started with M the McDonald's sign was for her.

So we spent the evening with all of the other wild children at the McDonald's playground.

Balloon children invasion

Attempting to bake my sister's recipe that I loved. . . Close, but not the same. Must keep trying. Maybe the third batch will be a winner.. . or maybe I will carry the dream to heaven.

My husband had a mohawk for a day. I think he was trying to prove he was not too old for it. . .

And three offspring as silly as can be, make life charming.

I got a strange phone call day. . . it was for my daughter. Apparently she exchanged phone numbers with her best friend. And I was worried about my baby growing up too fast, I should start paying more attention to this one! I guess I was a little puzzled, but now that I think about it I don't have a house phone number for her to give. I might have to change my voicemail to reflect the family instead of myself. Never thought about it before. . . . . .

It happens. They grow up too fast. This little monster got out of his crib, so out came the shorter big boy bed. Sob. I was worried that he would play with toys or climb up the bunk bed, but he was more than happy to rest his head on his pillow and sleep.

Last day of Winter Break we headed to the MGM to see the lions. Due to their renovation project they will only be open for another week or so. I am sure it will be redone to bring in a better profit.
We had such perfect timing! The cats were fed ten minutes after we showed up and the baby lions were available for photos! It was a perfect adventure to end our little break from work together.

I usually don't make resolutions. Always seems redundant. And mine usually have to do with money, which makes it depressing. But at church the lesson told me to dig deeper. So I will try harder. One thing we did do to ring in the new year was kill the monster hanging out in the backyard.

This year we are thankful for good friends,
